Jacek Lange was born in Poland, in 1955. He grew up in an artistic atmosphere, as a son of an outstanding Polish art - painter and scenographer, Wieslaw Lange. Jack Lange has graduated from fine arts Junior College in Bielsko Biala, Poland where he specialized in Graphics. The above curriculum not only has given him an accurate preparation for his future profession, but has taught him how to love art and how to see a piece of it from a eye of an artist. In the present time Lange lives in Vienna, Austria where he develops his talents.
The artist is being absorbed with paintings and especially obsessed with painting of trees and provoking its symbolism, duration, power, and tradition. All his paintings are being created on canvas, with using of oil paint. Although, Jacek Lange has studied Graphics while at College, he rejects today's style - graphic with using of computer. Instead of it, he explores the computer itself. He analyzes computer's parts and its beauty, then he takes its big parts and cut them into tiny ones, and later uses them as an addition to his paintings. Thanks to his unique imagination, Lange is able to create two and three dimensional compositions out of his technical elements. Jack Lange also enjoys designing of stained glass and he is interested in exploring of unusual buildings and their architecture. It is essential to mention, that the artist does not label his artworks. He likes to provoke his receivers to create their own imagination and let them rely on their own observation and shape their own perceptions on meaning of his creations. Jack Lange, although fascinated by his father's paintings and his scenography, still searches strenuously for his own style however less involved in scenography.
